Director, Program Coordinator and Communication
Instructor, SKY Happiness Program

Tila Foss is a New Zealand native but she has lived most of her life in Texas. She graduated Texas A&M with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and earned an MBA from SMU. She has applied both of these degrees in the semiconductor industry for the last 15 years. She only recently considered a holistic wellness approach after her medical doctor recommended she find some type of meditation practice. She started with a book and then stumbled upon the SKY breathing meditation technique in 2013.

Now she volunteers with Take A Breath Texas to help others discover this profound yet simple breathing technique that one can easily practice every day. Not only has she noticed meaningful changes in her life, but so have others.

"SKY Breathing Meditation has helped me with SO many different aspects of my life - relationships with humans, relationships with pets, golf, career changes -- it's crazy how something so simple can be so beneficial.  More folks need to learn this! Life is too short to not have this tool in your toolkit."

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Joy learned meditation while attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Joy worked in an administrative capacity for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association as well as real estate development companies.

She retired to Texas in 2013 and continues to teach the SKY Happiness Program. She enjoys facilitating the meditation courses and continues to be inspired by the wonderful discoveries the students experience both during and after they take the course. "There is a noticeable different in the students' faces from the first to the final sessions - the stress dissolves and their inner smile returns! It is such a privilege to share that experience with people and provide them with what they need to continue their meditation at home. SKY Breathing Meditation helps us renew our connection with our inner self and gain more balance and peace in our lives - what a HUGE benefit!"
